1. Service Overview

Hudson Compost provides residential and commercial food scrap collection and composting services. These services may include the collection of compostable materials, provision of bins, and related customer communications.

Our services are available only in areas we currently serve. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time.

2. Account and Membership

To use our services, you may be required to create an account or provide information such as your name, address, phone number, and payment details. You agree to:

  • Keep your information up to date.

  • Be responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. Payments and Billing

If you enroll in a paid plan, you authorize Hudson Compost (and our payment processor, such as Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis in accordance with the plan you selected.

All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. We may adjust pricing with prior notice.

4. SMS Communications and Consent

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive informational text messages from Hudson Compost related to your account or service (e.g., pickup reminders, updates, or schedule changes).

Consent is not a condition of purchase.

5. Use of Services

You agree not to misuse or interfere with our services, equipment, or communications. You must comply with all applicable laws and local regulations when using Hudson Compost services.

Bins and collection equipment provided by Hudson Compost remain the property of the company unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for keeping them clean, safe, and accessible for collection.

6. Limitation of Liability

Hudson Compost is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use our services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Hudson Compost in the previous six months.

7. Termination

You may cancel your service at any time by contacting us at support@hudsoncompost.com. We may suspend or terminate your service if you violate these Terms, misuse equipment, or engage in unlawful activity.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Any changes will be posted at hudsoncompost.com/terms with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
